“Finally!” bellowed Mawley Crackbone. The sky above them cracked open. Rain poured down and thunder boomed and lightning shot down from the night sky.

“Hold still, puggler,” Mawley said. “This might tickle a bit.” Mawley rolled his neck until it cracked, then he floated into the air. He began to shimmer with a strange, ghastly energy. His clothes, his bone necklace, his whole body seemed to melt away before Stitch Head’s eyes.

A moment later, he was nothing more than a ghastly glow — a swirl of green light and fire. The glow moved across the room and enveloped Stitch Head.

“AAAAAHHHHH!” Stitch Head screamed so loudly that even Professor Erasmus stopped in his tracks. He turned to see Stitch Head slumping limply to the floor.

There was a long moment of the most ominous silence.
